Where does the time go?

As they say – time flies when you are having fun and we have certainly been having fun at Manly Sailing this summer. With lots of lessons conducted each weekend for both our Adult and Kid Customers as well some fantastic Corporate Events and charters, we’ve been having a ball and the summer is flying by!

Never fear though, word is that the rainy start to the summer is going to result in extended sunshine and lovely temperatures well into May so we’ll have lots more summer time out on the water in the coming months.

February was made even busier by the fact that Anne had to have her appendix removed urgently. We really missed her in the office, no tea and biccies for ten whole days. We’re happy to report that she’s recovered fully and is back on deck!

We had to shut down for the weekend of March 5th and 6th as all of our staff and boats were competing in the Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta. There was some fantastic sailing and lots of socialising with fellow sailors. So much so that we are determined to enter more boats next year.

The Twilights are drawing to a close at the end of March but Sunday Racing continues until July so there will be lots of opportunities to try out your new skills. The twilights and post race parties on Friday Nights were so popular with our customers that we are going to run some great social sailing events over the next few months, starting with our Sunday Sessions; a relaxing sail, cool tunes, nibbles and drinks on Sunday Afternoons starting in April.

And of course we are making plans for our annual trip north to the Queensland Regattas in August. This year we have entered a fabulous yacht, Eureka II a Sydney 60. We’ll be taking lots of crew with us to enjoy the tropical racing and the week long Apres Sail parties. Details are on our racing page…places are being snapped up fast so book in soon!

See you on the water
