Manly’s Secret Beaches

2020-02-12T15:06:41+11:00

The Fabulous Four Beaches Store Beach Store beach can only be accessed by water, meaning it feels very tranquil with barely any crowds. This beautiful spot is one of our favourites, nestled amongst the bushes and rocks. It’s worth packing a picnic and spending some time relaxing here. Collins Flat Beach Collins Flat Beach is nestled between Little Manly Cove and North Head. With beautiful harbour views and its own waterfall, this little beach feels serene. If you’re feeling brave, you can make the jump [...]

Race Day On Saturday 13th of April 9-12pm we will be organising a sailing event for all of our junior sailors. The morning will be about fun, games and adventure. To make the day more exciting we will be introducing racing rules and a finish line. This is a great way for the junior sailors to develop a greater interest and take sailing to the next level.  Afterwards we will be having a sausage sizzle on the deck when the kids come back in, to thank you for this term and your continued support of Manly Sailing. It's only [...]

Discover Windsurfing Day

2019-04-02T16:57:43+11:00

Try Windsurfing Manly Sailing has a passion for sailing and every new day is another adventure. For that reason, we felt it was time to challenge our sailors and we had the opportunity to converse with experienced windsurfers and partner up with Australian Sailing and BIC Australia. Therefore, we now want to see if there is some interest here in Manly for windsurfing courses. Windsurfing is another fantastic water sport and it is basically a mix of sailing and surfing. It could be a great addition to Manly Sailing and our location here in Manly. To see whether there [...]

Summer Holiday Camps

2019-04-02T16:52:09+11:00

Wow, what a start of the new year! We've had more than a hundred kids joining us between three 3-day camps this month. The response that we got from the kids were that they really enjoyed learning to sail, including theory and exercises such as rigging, derigging, capsizing, turtling, follow the leader etc. and most important of all, they made so many new friends which is so fun for us to see! This time, we decided to offer two camps depending on the kids previous sailing experience. The intention was to challenge the more experienced kids and further [...]

Fun times

2018-11-23T00:12:08+11:00

Manly Sailing Cup It is very important for us at Manly Sailing that our young sailors feel safe while they are out on the water. As you can see in the video below, capsizing happens out there and we want everyone to feel confident enough to handle such situations and get back on, to continue a nice sail. The shots in this video are taken from Manly Sailing Cup which we run every Friday to challenge our more experienced sailors. Races are also a great way to improve skills as well as gain new ones. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gn5TJ14u0E [...]
