Our historic 61ft ketch yacht
In April this year, Manly Sailing became the proud owner of a beautiful, classic 61ft ketch. Her name is Southwinds.
Southwinds boasts an impressive history. She was designed by Sir Robert Clarke, who became famous for designing Gypsy Moth IV, the first boat sailed single-handedly around the globe. Southwinds retains many of her original features, and has been lovingly cared for and maintained over the decades. She is in stunning condition, and is currently undergoing further renovations to bring her up to impeccable standards for chartering.
Southwinds is able to reach high speeds, but her innovative and streamlined design allows her to move gracefully and elegantly through the water. The expansive deck space allows for guests to lounge out comfortably and take in the stunning Sydney Harbour views. As guests move downstairs, they can make use of the generous kitchen and dining area, or relax in any of the cabins.
We are looking forward to offering a whole range of chartering experiences on this incredible yacht. She stands out from all the others on the Harbour, and is a guaranteed head-turner. Once she has had her makeover, she will be available for New Years Eve, Vivid Festival, Christmas parties, corporate events, Romantic couples evenings, family and tourist charters, champagne cruises, and much much more. The horizons are endless!
