2024-11-26T16:35:36+11:00

Allambie Heights Scouts Join Manly Sailing for An Afternoon: A Perfect Partnership For Kids! Every year, the Allambie Heights Scouts group teams up with Manly Sailing to offer a fantastic sailing program for kids. It’s a chance for young adventurers to learn the ropes while gaining valuable life skills. Kids who try sailing develop confidence as they master the skills needed to control a boat and navigate the water. They learn independence by taking responsibility for their vessel, and they build problem-solving abilities as they adjust to ever-changing wind conditions and tides. Sailing also gives kids a hands-on way to engage with [...]

It was a very tough regatta, the team’s first international match racing event, against some of the best match racers in the world. We learnt heaps and sailed really well. It was a great experience and I would love to go back next year! [...]

In fact, the dependence on screen-time has become such an issue that the term 'nature-deficit disorder' was coined to describe what [...]
